Emilie Sherman – Founder

Emilie is the founder and owner of Sherman HR Consulting, LLC and brings over 17 years of hands-on experience in human resources, benefits, and compliance. She has built a career helping growing companies manage their people thoughtfully and effectively, with a focus on small businesses that aren’t yet ready for a full-time HR hire. Emilie’s expertise spans HRIS systems, compensation and benefits management, employment law compliance, and employee relations, making her a reliable partner for small businesses navigating complex HR challenges.

Throughout her career, Emilie has been recognized for her ability to simplify HR, protect both employers and employees, and implement practical solutions that scale with the business. She works closely with clients to ensure policies, procedures, and practices are compliant, fair, and people-centered. Outside of work, Emilie enjoys family time, gardening, cooking, weight lifting, and travel. She has a love for wineries (and her cats, Riesling and Ash), reflecting her belief that great HR, like great wine, is a careful balance of expertise, patience, and attention to detail.
